Refund Policy
1. Make the return window very clear
Your current wording says:
Returns must be requested within 5 days of delivery.
This is clear, but specify that the 5-day period starts from the date the order is shown as delivered.
2. Damaged/wrong product should be handled separately
You have a 48-hour reporting period, while normal returns have 5 days. That's okay, but make it very prominent:
Damaged, defective or incorrect products must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
Record Unboxing Video for Returns
To help us verify any return, damaged, defective, missing, or incorrect product claim, customers are requested to record a clear unboxing video while opening the package.
The video should clearly show:
- The sealed package before opening
- The shipping label and order details
- The complete opening of the package
- The product received and its condition
- Any damage, defect, missing item, or incorrect product, if applicable
Also require:
- clear photos of the product
- outer packaging
- shipping label
- order number
This will help considerably with courier/supplier disputes.
3. Your "Non-Returnable Items" section needs more precision
This line is too vague:
Earrings and certain personal-use accessories.
Instead, list the actual categories that are non-returnable.
For example:
Non-returnable items include earrings, customized products, made-to-order products, and products specifically marked as non-returnable on the product page.
Don't leave "certain" open to interpretation.
4. Add an exchange policy
Your current policy talks about refunds and returns but says nothing about exchange/replacement.
If you offer exchanges, clearly state:
- whether size exchange is available
- whether colour/design exchange is available
- number of days allowed
- who pays return shipping
- whether exchange is subject to availability
If you do not offer exchanges, say so explicitly.
5. Add cancellation policy
I strongly recommend adding a short section explaining:
- when an order can be cancelled
- whether cancellation is possible after dispatch
- how prepaid cancellation refunds are handled
This is currently missing.
6. Clarify return shipping
This sentence is good:
Customers may be required to bear return shipping charges unless the return is due to a damaged, defective, or incorrect product sent by us.
But "may be required" is ambiguous.
Better to clearly state when the customer pays and when MrsMuraari pays.
7. Add "return approval"
Don't make it sound like simply requesting a return automatically guarantees approval.
Something like:
All return requests are subject to verification and approval based on the conditions mentioned in this policy.
8. Your refund timeline should be more specific
You currently say:
within 7-10 business days.
Good, but clarify that this period begins after the returned product is received and passes inspection, not from the date the customer submits the request.
9. Add a return-condition requirement
You already mention unused/unwashed/original condition. I would also include:
- no stains
- no perfume/body odour
- no alterations
- no damage caused after delivery
- original tags
- original packaging where applicable
This is particularly useful for clothing and sarees.
10. Fix this sentence immediately
You currently have:
email us at your registered support email address.
This looks like a placeholder and should not appear on your live website.
Put your actual MrsMuraari customer-support email address there.
